Geneva Cooley
From a family photo given to me by Bobby Chaffin.
Geneva Cooley was my grandfather Newel K. Young's second (plural) wife. From the time I was a small child I was taught to call her "Auntie."
Geneva Cooley was born on 8 Oct 1883 in Joseph, Sevier, Utah, USA, and died on 3 Nov 1970 in Granger, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. She is the daughter of Osborn Benjamin Cooley and Frances Isabella Rodeback. She married Newel Knight Young on 19 Nov 1900 in Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
I knew "Auntie" as a kind and gentle person who took exceedingly good care of my grandfather in the last years of his life. Most of what I have learned about her I owe to her granddaughter and my half-cousin Bobbie Foster Railsback Chaffin who generously provided me with family images and a life sketch which she wrote about Geneva.
