Rafting the Green River
Desolation Canyon, Utah - May 27 to June 4, 2012
Alene and I again served as shuttle drivers for a party of eight river runners as the floated the Green River from Sand Wash to the mouth of Gray Canyon. Jodi and her three children came to Moab and spent the week with us while the river crew did their float trip. Following are images we captured on the various days.
The river rats.....
Nefertiti.....
On Sunday, June 3, 2012 we drove up the Green River to the end of the road at Nefertitti where we met the River Rats as they arrived precisely on time. Steve Nichol's mother and sister and some other family joined with him to ride the rest of the way down to Swasey Landing. Nefertiti is named for a rock outcropping that resembles Nefertiti, the Nile River princess.
